The forze of destiny by a force of nature. Renata Tebaldi singing Son giunta! Madre, pietosa vergine at La Scala in 1955. This is one of those performances I find completely overwhelming. She pours out so much sound, emotion and grandness it's all too much to fit on a recording.

Imagine how it must have felt in the theatre to be surrounded by this sound. This is the singing Verdi's masterpiece deserves.
