Gated Manual Audi R8 V10 on Track! Intake and Exhaust System Sights, Sounds, and Testing!

We took the Hochman Fabrication and Speed Gated Manual Audi R8 V10 up to Great Lakes Dragaway to see what it could do with our new Hochman Fabrication And Speed MAX Ram Air intake system, combined with our new stainless performance exhaust system for the 1st generation Audi R8 V10 platform.

These were the only two modifications to the vehicle other than a dyno tune from our friends over at AMS Performance.

At the end of the day we managed to capture a best 1/4 mile time of 11.6 @ 121 mph.

A few important details to note regarding our MAX Ram Air intake system features and fitment are below.....

FITMENT: Designed to fit all Audi R8 5.2L V10 coupe models WITH 1 Piece Style Air Box (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012)
*DOES NOT FIT: (hope to develop soon)
- Models with 2 piece style intake box
- Spyder/Convertible models
- V8 models

The factory intake box design is restrictive and gets heat soak, which is not desirable for optimal performance. But that's not the only problem......If you look in the bottom of the intake box there is almost always a collection of dust and debris in there. Remove the box and dump it into the garbage and what do you get? A huge cloud of dust around you..... That's exactly what your air filters are seeing when turbulence goes through the intake box during normal driving.... Our system resolves these flaws by eliminating the factory intake box, and placing larger air filters directly behind the air inlets on the side of the vehicle.
-Eliminates the restriction, heat soak, and lack of fresh air created by the factory intake box design
-Provides direct cold-air to larger AEM dry-flow intake filters
-Fits within fender and wheel wells with no clearance issues
-Includes all clamps, couplers, and hardware
-Wrinkle Black Powder Coated Finish (other finishes available upon request)
-Includes carbon fiber plate to replace air box
