This video was shot in an area of older lava flows that hadn't changed in 30 years.

The flow was over 2 miles wide and filling in small to large caravans and shallow lava tubes.

There were frequent small methane explosions in the areas with little vegetation. At the rainforest, the explosions were very large. Large enough to blow trees right out of the ground and leave 10' craters.

In this video, you will see one of the tiny and harmless methane explosions.
