The Avian 2/180 Gyroplane was a project that rose from the ashes of the Avro Arrow cancellation. 5 former employee would form their own company and set out to build a new kind of autogyro. Their Gyroplane could take off and land vertically and could fly at speeds up to 265 km/h. Although it never made any sales, it is an impressive project that deserves some attention.
