Litomerice: Czech Town Important for Philippine History

Did you know there is a small Czech town in the north of the Czech Republic that is important for Philippino history? Most Czechs don't know it but in 1883, revolutionary hero of the Philippines Jose Rizal visited Litomerice to see his best friend Ferdinand Blumentritt. The relationship between these two men left its marks not only in Litomerice but also in Manila, where you can find today the famous Blumentritt road. In today's video we will show you which places in Litomerice remind us of Jose Rizal and Ferdinand Blumentritt and how their friendship shaped Philippino history.
