Respect ... Emily Molloy (Live at the Filberg Festival 2022)

Beginning in 2005 with a friend's guitar and a few shower singing sessions under her belt, Emily Molloy realized her passion. Her seemingly natural ability to write, sing and play music opened a door of creativity. She played at various open stages around BC and ON, mainly playing well loved covers and perhaps one of her own songs. It was not until 2010 that Emily began to take her passion more seriously.

Emily moved from the Columbia Valley, BC to Vancouver in search of a bigger stage. After mere months of living in the city, she met up with music producer Don Harte, founder of Harte Music Productions. Impressed by her songwriting ability and strong vocal talent, Don decided to take Emily on. Emily now works with producer Martin Acosta, and is expecting the album to be finished late 2011. In addition to recording, Emily also hosts an Artist Showcase night, as well as an Open Mike night in the city. "The music industry should be about bringing talented and passionate local artists together, and that is what I strive to acheive at both of these venues" (Molloy).

Emily's music can be described as upbeat, passionate, freespirited and inspirational. It fuses multiple genres including Folk, Acoustic, Pop, Rock, and Soul.
