SCADA Pro - Copying Physical Elements from one Level to Another
SCADA Pro: Copying Physical Elements from One Level to Another
This tutorial video presents the element copying procedure, which applies exclusively to the transfer of physical cross-sections (frame members) and must be executed strictly prior to the generation of the analytical (mathematical) model. The detailed steps described are as follows:
Copying Procedure (Individual or Bulk Selection)
Activate the Copy command from the user interface.
Select the physical members to be copied. The selection can be performed either individually or collectively utilizing the selection window.
Confirm and finalize the element selection by right-clicking.
Define the initial reference point (e.g., a column node/corner or a beam extremity) via left-click, utilizing the available object snap functions.
Navigate to the target level (new elevation) using the level adjustment arrows.
Specify the corresponding reference point at the new level. The selected elements are subsequently copied, fully retaining their original geometry and spatial coordinates relative to the reference point.
Copying an Entire Level (Floor)
Utilize the Copy Level command to capture the entirety of the structural elements at the current elevation, followed by the Paste Level command to transfer them to the target level.
Crucial Note: Given that this specific operation transfers exclusively the physical frame members of the structure, the geometric identification and definition of slabs (area elements) are not carried over from the source level. Consequently, the user is required to re-identify and re-define the slab elements independently for each newly generated level.
