Bach´s Toccata & Fuge on fingferstyle guitar ???? Yes, it works....
Without doubt, this Toccata and Fuge belongs to Bach´s greatest works and still impresses me when I listen to it. And that´s the reason, why so many musicians want to play this pieces. When it comes to a version for guitar, all scores, tabs and videos I found only show the melody, that means what Bach played with his right hand. But the full richness of sound and harmony needs the left hand as well as the bass pedal of the organ. Many years ago I received the original organ score = 3 lines for right + left hand plus bass pedal. Last year on my vacation I first found a way to play the Toccata. Then I finally had to find a solution to play the fuge. This piece, the Toccata+Fuge is the most difficult piece I try to play. So the Toccata is a single shot recording, I unfortunately succeed only sometimes when playing for myself to finish the Fuge without any mistakes -- so I decided to combine several recordings in order to show that it is possible to play the Toccata and Fuge on a guitar.
