Maybe the most important thing to understand about attachment styles is this: anxious and avoidant attachment aren’t opposites — they’re both ways of trying not to get hurt. 💭

🧠 One clings, overthinks and fears being left. The other withdraws, shuts down and fears being overwhelmed. Different behavior — but often the same wound underneath: not feeling safe in love.

🪞 Healing is not about deciding which style is worse. It’s about seeing that both are protective patterns, shaped by fear and a deep need for safety.

🤍 And once you really understand that, you stop judging so quickly. You start seeing the pain and unmet needs underneath the pattern.
