In this video I'm going to talk about the solutions for India’s biggest threat air pollution. Recently India’s major cities (i.e. Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore) were heavily affected by air pollution. Every year India’s air pollution level is increasing tremendously and the government did not take a single step to control the pollution. Because of this India ranked second in the countries having the world's most polluted air. In a report, in 2017 alone 1.2 million peoples were died due to air pollution-related diseases, but the government refused it. Compared with other states Tamilnadu was affected a little bit in the future Tamilnadu also will have Air pollution problems since we don’t have enough trees to purify the air. To avoid this problem we have to act immediately. Naturally, trees are the best air purifiers and it does it for free. But we do not really understand the importance of trees and cutting down millions of trees every year for construction works. Some political parties and corporate guruji’s said they planted millions of trees across Tamilnadu but it is not true. If we plant trees alone it will be more difficult to maintain and it's expensive. Instead of doing this, we have to grow a small forest in the cities and villages everywhere. How can we grow a forest in a city? Actually, a Japanese Environmentalist and Botanist Dr.Akira Miyawaki invented a novel method to grow forests rapidly in a small piece of land. This method was called “Miyawaki forest”. This afforestation method will help to grow the trees faster and using this Miyawaki method we can grow some 300 to 400 trees in just 1000 square feet of land. This Miyawaki method just requires a small piece of land and lots of wastes, which we have plenty of in Tamilnadu. Using this Miyawaki method several organizations grown small forests in Chennai and Bangalore and felt its use. So to avoid air pollution we have to grow lots of Miyawaki forests across Tamilnadu. For this Miyawaki method, we have to use the Native tree varieties, because they already adapted to our climatic and soil conditions. We can grow these Miyawaki forests even in our home backyard, it will give us plenty of pure air and harvest rain as well. So please share this information about the Miyawaki forest and make Greener Tamilnadu. Thanks.
