Sex Trafficking Near Disneyland

1.2 MILLION CHILDREN ARE TRAFFICKED EVERY YEAR.

Sex trafficking happens at the "Happiest Place on Earth" near Disneyland. Side by Side Church and Harbor Outreach rescues children and women on Harbor Boulevard in Orange County, California.

Coming from a broken home, Oree Freeman was raped at 10-years-old and ran away from home. By the time she was 11-years-old, she was groomed and became a victim of the sex trade, falling into a vicious cycle between going to juvenile hall and falling back into sex trafficking.

After four years she was able to leave that life with the help of Orangewood Children's Foundation. She has since graduated from high school and is currently attending college. Freeman says the collaboration with authorities to bring about change is critical. She also says it takes a community effort to help fight the issue by looking out for young girls who are victims of the industry and are forced into it.
