A phone system is just a box that allows you to do 5 main things:

1) ring multiple phones with one phone number (called a “call group”)

2) offer the caller options to choose from (called an “auto attendant”)

3) play music or advertisement on hold

4) ability to transfer a call to another phone

5) voicemail to email

This box can either be installed in your office. This is a “Traditional Phone System” or you can rent a phone system in the “cloud”.
