Israeli forces neutralize Hamas terror threat in Khuza’a

The IDF has concluded operations in southern Gaza's Khuza’a, near Khan Younis, where the 5th Reserve Brigade successfully neutralized numerous Hamas terrorists and dismantled the terror group's infrastructure.

The 5th Brigade demolished hundreds of Hamas sites, including rocket launchers, observation posts, weapon caches, around 40 tunnel shafts, and extensive underground networks in Khuza’a. Much of the Hamas infrastructure was concealed inside schools and other public buildings.

During the two-week operation, dozens of Hamas operatives were killed by the 5th Brigade. In late December, the IDF initiated the offensive targeting Hamas terrorists responsible for the attack on the Israeli border community of Nir Oz on October 7, resulting in casualties and abductions of numerous Israelis.
