Homemade Ocean Salt Scrub / Cleanser

This homemade salt scrub is a take on the lush ocean salt cleanser which is a really awesome product! I have experimented with this recipe a little bit to get a DIY scrub that can be used for the body and face and has many of the beneficial properties of the original product. The cool thing about this scrub / cleanser is that it is completely natural, it's cruelty free and it's also really cheap when considering the life usage of the raw ingredients.

Always keep in mind that these recipes are things I have tried out and enjoyed and therefore shared in the hopes they will as enjoyable for you. I am not trying to be a professional or claim to know it all (and anything I don't know i would love to hear about! But approach your comments as advice, not hate!!). Things work differently for different people, and there are always ways that things can be done better - so share the love and we can all help each other create an awesome life X

The natural blue colouring is made from red cabbage, water and baking soda. It is not a necessary ingredient, it just makes it look 'nicer'. It doesn't stain the skin like conventional colourings which is great for this purpose. Adding it does make its shelf-life less secure though, so only add a little and make sure to you use clean fingers.

Homemade ocean salt cleanser recipe:
- 1/4 cup red cabbage
- pinch baking soda
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 2 Tbsp each of fine & coarse sea salt
- 1 lime finely zest
- 20 drops tangerine oil
- 2 Tbsp avocado oil
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 tsp wax
- optional: 2 Tbsp vegetable glycerine
