Siddis of Karnataka - A Vlog with lots of effort, struggles, happiness and culture. One among the most satisfying day in our van life India trip.

With zero expectations and 100% desire we started off our journey from Badami to Yellapur in search of Siddi tribes in Karnataka. We had too many helping hands to make our desire into reality.

Glowing skin, Curly hair, Innocent grins they invited us to their houses wholeheartedly and made us one among them. Siddi tribes are a community with African ethnicity living in India for more than 400 years. They had many things to share with us from their favourite festivals, foods and livelihood and so on. We also had a discussion on how the Karnataka government is supporting them.

Later it was time for celebration, dance, music and drum beats. From kids to old men and women clapped their hands, widened their smiles, raised their voice and began to sing along with the grace-full footsteps moving according to the beats of a speaker box which they use instead of a Cajon. After having a satisfying day, it was time for "Goodbyes". This video is something you cannot miss at all.
