Friday Night Walk In Singapore: Lively Marina Bay, Shoppes And River Hongbao Lights (Feb 2022)

A Friday evening 4K walk from Marina Bay station to Marina Bay and through the high end Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands shopping centre to Gardens By the Bay where we catch a little bit of the River Hongbao lights.

Apologies that the start of this video has a really weird angle, I think I messed up some settings and didn't notice it, feel free to jump to where I go inside the shopping centre!

The walk starts in a nearly empty MRT train towards Marina Bay MRT station - eagle eyed viewers will catch me waving at the beginning of the video (rarely do you get a train all to yourself to wave at a window in an MRT tunnel!).

I make my way from the station through the night time city views to the waterfront at Marina Bay. I walk through the Shoppes mall and take the lift and walkway that go inside the Marina Bay Sands hotel to the viewing platform with great views of the Supertrees and make a quick stop at the Dragonfly bridge to see the great views.

Before returning to Marina Bay, I stop by at the float with dragon and tigers for River Hongbao. I don't go through all the lights put up for the ticketed event, but there are plenty of beautiful videos from other Singapore walking channels if you'd like to explore that further!

I then return, through the Shoppes again, to Marina Bay popular with skaters and cyclers, walk past Art Science museum and the restaurants at the waterfront to the Helix bridge, with beautiful views of the Bay from the viewing platforms. That's a difficult view to beat anywhere in the world! The walk ends at the Marina Bay Float end of the Helix bridge.
