Around 8 years ago my doctor suggested I go to see an alcohol specialist who 'may" prescribe a new miracle drug to help me stop drinking #alcohol. It was a very painful and difficult experience, and that was just to GET the prescription. I found myself jumping though many hoops o ver many months. But I was eventually prescribed 'Selincro', which is a Nalmefene or 'pleasure receptor blocker'. I was the first person in England and the second in the UK (Scotland was first) to be prescribed this new drug. I was interviewed by over 20 news channels, national parers etc and even appeared on the hugely popular TV program 'GoggleBox'.
But even this 'miracle drug', didn't work for me.
