Maple Syrup Season: Collecting and Finishing Syrup
It's the last day of collecting for the 2024 season. Another short year, but the weather was really quite strange. While the season was short, it was very pleasant to tap the trees and collect when there was hardly any snow on the ground.
This is what a typical day of collecting looks like, lots of helping hands, off handed commentary and food. Then on a quieter day, we show you how we finish the syrup. First it needs to come up to temperature on the stove and then through several more filters before it is bottled.
Thanks so much for watching!
