The scenic Dutchess County drive set a tranquil tone for my Taconic Distillery visit in Stanfordville, NY. The iconic dog logo on the big red barn of the 115-acre farm immediately exuded rustic charm.

The comfortably busy tasting room buzzed with a welcoming atmosphere, a mix of locals and visitors like me, eager to try their acclaimed spirits.

Gabby’s wonderful tour detailed their daily operations and emphasized their all-hands-on-deck family ownership.

Beyond the great neat pours!
We had a ball, fueled by the infectious energy of locals and staff. It was a truly memorable time.

Though seemingly off the New York City path, this experience is well worth it.
