The Majohn Fountain Pen That Shouldn’t Exist
✒️ In today’s video I’m reviewing the Majohn P141 fountain pen – and let’s just say it’s not the recommendation I hoped it would be. On paper, this pen has it all: a classic Montblanc-inspired design, a piston filling system, and a huge size 8 nib. But after a week of testing, it became clear… this is the pen Majohn should never have released.
In this review I’ll show you exactly where the P141 goes wrong, from build quality to the nib and mechanism, and why it’s such a let-down compared to Majohn’s own P140, the Wingsung 630, or even the humble Lamy Safari. If you’re considering the P141, you need to watch this first.
🛒 Equipment Used:
• Wingsung 630 - https://rebrand.ly/wingsung-630
• Majohn P140 - https://rebrand.ly/Majohn-P140
• Majohn P141 - https://rebrand.ly/Majohn-P141
• Rhodia dotBook - https://rebrand.ly/Rhodia-Pad
👉 Update: Since I bought my P141, Majohn have started selling it with the same Sun nib used in the P139 and P140. This definitely improves the writing experience, but for me it doesn’t fix the wobbly piston knob — and that’s why I’d still spend my money on the P140 instead.
