I’m lucky enough to be juggling a bunch of bikes- some are mine, and some are loaners. The current quiver includes both an Ibis Ripmo V2 and AF, an Ibis Ripley AF, an Evil Offering, a Rocky Mountain Slayer, this Yeti SB130LR, a recently departed but still fresh in the memory Rocky Mountain Altitude, a Chromag Stylus, and last year, an Orbea Occam. Not to mention some limited time on the Norco Optic and Norco Sight. But among all those bikes, I’ve found not just some that I like, but some common traits shared among those favorites. The SB130 LR arrived and had me thinking “XC” of all things. But wow, was I misjudging this one!

The SB130 is particularly at home in the southwest, desert type riding, and Sedona would definitely be considered a hallmark destination of such. This ride was over a month ago, and I’ve been riding it a ton here in Washington now, and it’s cool to have experienced the bike in so many different locales. I’ll do a full review video soon enough- but not too soon, as those kinds of review videos tend to get manufacturers asking to have their loaner bikes back- and I don’t wanna give this little rocket up quite yet!
