In a mid week special, I Am Athlete goes behind the scenes with Nascar at Rev Racing to experience the pressures of how much a second really matters between first and last.

As the guys continue to learn more about the sport, Channing’s theory about pit stops is put to the test.

Changing tires looks easy, but is it? Attending Rev Racing, Brandon, Chad, Fred, Channing and Lou are schooled real fast on how grueling it is to be a member of a Nascar pit crew, no matter the level.

The sport has developed training for former athletes to learn the techniques using strength and speed to complete the mission in only a few seconds. The higher the level, the less time to complete the job.

Fred is impressed with the energy and repetition the crews practice day in and day out to master their craft. Understanding the importance and impact it has to see young black men and women being such an integral part of the sport is something all the guys are appreciative of and respect.

Now trying to match that energy and skill is another story...Watch how all the guys manage the pressure and who comes out the fastest ANDDD if Channing changes his perspective on pit stops being easy.
