We are the only center in Northern Israel that provides multidisciplinary oncology treatment. Our clinical and translational research ensures greater availability of experimental medications, placing us among leading centers worldwide. We are home to the only children's hospital in Northern Israel, and are nationally recognized for our excellence.

We are always ready for every possible scenario. Based on lessons learned from the Second Lebanon War, when civilians and soldiers were treated while under fire, we fortified the Department of Emergency Medicine and built an underground parking garage,
which transforms into a fortified underground emergency hospital the largest of its kind in the world.
We treat more trauma patients than all other Israeli hospitals. Medical staff from around the world come to Rambam's Teaching Center for Trauma, Emergency, and Mass Casualty Situations to study our emergency management model. We advise and help to establish medical facilities, and are proud to save lives globally.
The COVID-19 war has presented a huge challenge to healthcare systems globally, including in Israel.

Rambam’s response to the pandemic has been of a graded strategy: construction of two dedicated COVID-19 departments, and preparing the Sammy Ofer Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital to receive hundreds of coronavirus patients with one third of the beds for patients on ventilators.
