There’s a lot of opinions for dedicated workstation graphics card for CAD, 3D design, and other 3d creation. There are a lot of people out there telling you that designing on gaming graphics cards is better or just as good and they rave about it. So, when does it really make a difference? This is what we set out to do.

So, as you can see there are some major and minor differences between these cards. Granted these are inexpensive cards but the difference on performance are noteworthy. While the wx4100 isn’t a gaming power house, it is quite the CAD workstation card so when you’re shopping know that there is a difference with CAD even at the same price point.

In our next workstation GPU video, we’ll be looking at what team green has to offer and soon we’ll be taking a look at some mid-range cards and finally some high-end cards.
