I *NEVER* thought I would get to see Amanda Marshall in concert! When I would go to the Bluebird Café I would look at the autographed Amanda Marshall 8 x 10 press photo, and *WISH* I could have caught her show when she performed there however long ago. I honestly thought I would never see her in concert. I was incredibly grateful when she released the DVD- "Amanda Marshall- Everybody's Got A Story Live At The Corona Theatre." That was GOLD to me! So when I saw she had tour dates this year, I knew I had to go for it! I only have a few things on my Bucket List(Plus 2 more on my father's bucket list since he passed- I want to finish his bucket list!) and this was one of them. I would tell my friends- "If I never get to go to an Amanda Marshall concert, just play her music at my funeral." It was absolutely *SURREAL* to see her in concert. I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole wide world! Tears ran down my face as I heard the songs performed in front of me... Especially "Dark Horse." That is my favorite!! I still can't believe it happened!!! I think it is funny that I flew from Music City U.S.A. to Canada to see a music artist... At a winery... And I don't even drink! lol I asked my woman Katie(the one that uploads all the boy band crap to our YouTube account- lol) to take video of each song, so I could make a concert CD. And I know it is a HUGE deal to see Amanda Marshall in concert, so I wanted to post each song from the show for everyone else to see. I ADORE her spirit and talents. I love how she has "social worky- songs." I even would open up my social work research papers in undergrad with her lyrics. Oh... OH... And I even got to meet her!!! Talk about being at a loss for words! I deal with death, dying, dementia, domestic violence, psychosis, homicide, suicide, crisis hotline, etc, etc... Basically I deal with crisis and chaos in my profession... The doctor will walk into my office and say- "Hey Cynthia, I just told the family of bed 14 that he may not make it the rest of the day. Can you go in there?" and I jump in the room because I am in my zone with that kind of stuff- It is where I feel confident in my abilities... But you put me in front Amanda Marshall and I become this anxious, intimidated dork. Holy hell! What can you do? She is incredible!
