2014 Ram 1500 Transmission Issue

Dodge wouldn't fix this. It has never been resolved, and the transmission still slips from 1st to 2nd.

This shows the problem I've been having with shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Right before the truck shifts, rpm goes up quickly between 200 and 300 rpm(varies) with no proportional increase in acceleration. It then shifts into second, and quickly engages that gear while the rpm's are peaked, causing the truck lurch forward. It appears subtle on the video, but is obvious while driving. You will notice too, the camera on the second takeoff as it jumps back a little when the truck lurches at :30.

Using a manual transmission as a comparison, it would be like slipping the clutch in first gear right before shifting, shifting into second, and then dumping the clutch while the rpms are elevated, resulting in a surge that can be felt in the seat. This is about the best way I can describe it. I've had this truck since 13,000 miles, so I'm am familiar with its behavior. What I am describing is a new behavior.

This has occurred randomly on many occasions, and typically would only happen if the truck sat overnight, or for the day (approximately 8 hrs or more). It would also do this on the first shifting cycle only, meaning that after it shifted through the gears once, it wouldn't do it again until the truck sat for a day. However, this is now starting to happen when the truck sits for shorter periods, like 2 to 4 hours, instead of a day. The problem is becoming more common, though still random.
