Helena Vlahos - Belly Dancer

Helena Vlahos, one of the icons of Dance Orientale, has been belly dancing since 1963, starting at the age of 15, in Los Angeles, CA. Her teacher/mentor was FoFo De Milo.

After many years of performing at all venues in Los Angeles, Houston and other cities, Helena moved to Phoenix and has been performing and teaching classes and workshops locally and out of state.

She has been on several television shows, including "That's Incredible" and "Spectacular World of Guinness Records" because of her unique ability to roll nine quarters on her belly, and placing a dollar bill on her belly, turning it up and down, lengthwise, and folding and unfolding it. She is in the "Guinness Book of World Records" for "Unique Abdominal Dexterity".

She performs with her dance troupe, Helena Vlahos' Alexandria Dancers.
