March is here and that means quarterly maintenance time! Server going down for a checkup.

Turning it off always feels wrong. 😅 No backup for this server yet - living on the edge. For the next 30 minutes to an hour, me and my partner will be completely without Smart Home. No automations, no controls, nothing.

This is exactly the kind of moment that makes you think...

Maybe it's time to build a proper cluster in the homelab? I already have one running in the DC, so why not bring some enterprise reliability home? High availability, automatic failover - no more "sorry, Smart Home is down for maintenance" moments.

Turning off a single point of failure hurts different when your lights stop working. 😄
