The people of Kogelo in the county of Siaya are mourning mama Sarah Obama, renowned grandmother of former U.S president Barack Obama passed on this morning at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and referral hospital aged 99. She will be laid to rest tomorrow at her Kogelo home in the county of Siaya before noon in line with Muslim burial rites. President Obama has mourned the death of his grandmother, saying the family celebrates the life of their matriarch.
