European cat snake (Telescopus fallax) is a mildly-venomous snake species from the Balkan peninsula. It lives along the Adriatic coast (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, etc.), in Greece and the Middle East. This is one of the few nocturnal snake species in Europe. During the day these snakes can be found by flipping rocks and stones. Cat snakes hunt mostly lizards, geckos and skinks.
