3 Cabinet Door Styles: Which One is Right For You?

There are many options to choose when selecting cabinetry for your home. One of them is how the overlay of the door sits on your cabinet.

There are three major ways that this can be done.
• Standard Overlay
o you see a lot more of the cabinet frame
• Full Overlay
o the edge of the door extends almost to the edge of the cabinet, and when you put two cabinets together they almost look like an inset door.
• Full Inset
o sits flush with the face of the cabinet, and creates a built-in furniture look

Of course, as we go up the line from standard to full overlay to inset the cost goes with each of those categories. Just one more thing to think about when you’re choosing a cabinet for your home.
