Drift Fence Trail

Drift Fence Trail was once the jeep road that connected the Vasquez Peak area to Wagon Road prior to the now Vasquez Road being built through to "Five Points". Although a sign post was put in at this trail's northern connection to Wagon Road, it wasn't labeled for Drift Fence Tr. and the trail was never put on the park's map.

This trail sees occasional use by bicyclists but would need to be considered "obscure" in its current condition. The name "Drift Fence" also has historical significance to the ranching legacy of this part of California. The historic F A Hyde phoneline also crossed through this area. As an aside, "Wagon Road" was also built by F A Hyde.
