I trained my Raspberry Pi to do facial recognition!
It recognizes me—and anyone I’ve trained it to recognize. Everyone else? It shows up as unknown. 🤖
All of this runs on a low-cost, single-board computer: the Raspberry Pi 5.
So how did I do it?
In this video, I walk through a full facial recognition project using Python, OpenCV, and the face-recognition library. It’s designed to help both young people and adults understand the basics of how AI works:
✅ Input your own data (photos)
✅ Train the model
✅ Test it live and see results in real-time
This is a great beginner-friendly project to demystify artificial intelligence and teach pattern recognition with hands-on code.
