Merry Christmas! Okay, like two days after but oh well.

Yes I’m actually uploading. Hey, I told you it’d be sporadic, even more so than usual. Anyway, I’ve been in love with this song ever since it came out years ago and I know I’m late to the “waiting for superman” video train, but better late than never right?

It felt weird downgrading Bree to just a human damsel in this, because she’s usually such a badass, but it fit with the storyline. And in the end she still becomes a hero so…I don’t know, just go with it haha

ALSO I put a small easter egg in the video for all you die hard Lab Rats fans out there. It's a callback to one of the episodes, season one I think...? Anyway, let me know if you see it ;)

►Plot: Chase is a famous superman type in Centium City. Bree, as well as everyone else, is a fan plus she’s basically in love with him. She sees him on the news always saving the day and is both inspired by him and sad because she can’t help comparing guys to him and knowing they’ll never measure up, while simultaneously feeling incompetent because she isn’t a hero herself.

Then he saves her on the bridge and everything changes.

She notices news articles saying how distracted Chase seems and is confused until one day he pursues her and they begin a relationship. Of course they run into problems, like how Bree has to wait on the sidelines while Chase saves the day or the fake relationship between he and Skylar that the media tries to push. But he puts her worries to rest when he tells her he only wants to be with her.

He even tells her that he’s sorry for constantly making her worry about him but that he’s been a hero all his life and doesn’t know who he’d be without the title. She understands and tells him she’s not going anywhere.

Their relationship becomes public thanks to Leo, and villains see this as a chance to strike. They now know Chase’s weakness (Bree) and attack one night, capturing them both. Chase panics when he sees that they have Bree as well and he breaks out, only to find that Bree’s life is in danger. Meanwhile, Bree flashes back to a memory about figuring things out with Chase and not giving up, and that gives her motivation. She catches Troy off guard by fighting back and becoming a hero herself, and together they defeat the enemy.

Chase is proud of his girl and their relationship is stronger than ever. And of course I had to end the video with the old “I love you too” line because it’s always too good to pass up. :)
