Trying Curl Formers For The First Time

In this video I only washed my hair with conditioner because my hair wasn't dirty but it was getting dry. To avoid making my hair any dryer, I decided to co-wash and deep condition for 30 min with heat. This wash day is 6 days after my first wash after taking my braids out. I am going to try and start washing my hair once a month with shampoo and co-wash as needed, so that I can keep my hair moisturized. Moisture is the key to avoid breakage. Breakage comes from dry hair. I never realized that washing my hair every week with shampoo could be drying my hair out but I wear braids for the most part so it was easy to miss this.

So the curl formers that I used in this video were too short. My hair was sticking out of the end of them and they were 30 cm long. There were 24 in a pack, so I ran out and used perm rods to finish the style. I ordered 2 more packs that were 45 cm long.
