Delphanie and I check in on a favourite patch for black trumpet chantarelles (Craterellus cornucopioides) and find several other mushroom species along the way. We also look over some Hobble Bush (Viburnum lantanoides) and spikenard (Aralia racemosa). The forest is very dry but there are a few mud puddles on the trail that offer up some great tracks of bear, wolf, raccoon, mink, squirrel, mice, voles, and more.
