Scene from Japanese animated psychological thriller "Perfect Blue" released in 1997 and produced studio Madhouse.

Directed by the late Satoshi Kon and based on a novel written by Yoshikazi Takeuchi, "Perfect Blue" follows the story of Mima Kirigoe, a former Japanese pop idol who hopes make a new career path as an actress. Unfortunately for Mima, her life takes a surreal turn as she becomes the victim of stalking by a not-so-pleased fan. A profound exploration of some of the psychology behind Japan's idol culture, "Perfect Blue" has long been held as a landmark example of more serious, narrative-driven Japanese animation noteworthy also for having Satoshi Kon's trademark surrealist directorial touch.

In this scene, Mima (voiced by Junka Iwao), pays a visit to her former band-mates at their local radio show. But when Mima arrives, she quickly notices a third person sitting beside her two friends in the recording booth who fills her with panic.
