यह भजन संत कबीर की अमूल्य वाणी पर आधारित है—

"जब मैं था तब हरि नहीं,
अब हरि हैं, मैं नाहिं।
प्रेम गली अति साँकरी,
तामें दो न समाहिं॥"

यह गीत अहंकार, 'मैं' और 'मेरा' की भावना से उत्पन्न अशांति तथा ईश्वर में समर्पण के बाद मिलने वाली शांति और एकत्व का संदेश देता है।
