Generalized transduction vs Specialized Transduction
Generalized transduction vs specialized transduction - lecture explains about the difference between generalized and specialized transduction. Generalised transduction is mediated by lytic phages where any DNA segment can be transferred by the virus and may not integrate the segment to the bacterial chromosome. while specialized transduction is a process where a fragment of bacterial DNA packaged inside the phage head that is transferred to another bacteria.
