Parallel compression is one of my favorite techniques to add presence and saturation to an audio signal.
⚡️There are many ways to do it, but plugin compressors with a “mix” control allow you to do this the easiest.
Simply squash the signal harder than usual with a rather fast attack and release time, then use the mix known to bring back more of the uncompressed signal. 🔥🔥
