In BELUSHI, noted documentary filmmaker R.J. Cutler captures the spirit of an American cultural icon in a portrait as enchanting as its subject. While simultaneously working on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, filming ANIMAL HOUSE and forming the Blues Brothers band, Belushi’s career was unstoppable. Previously unheard interview audiotapes with friends, family and collaborators, recorded shortly after Belushi’s death, explore his driving ambition and the personal demons that ultimately ended it all.
