Hope for the Wild 2019 - Russ Benedict

Tucked away in Iowa’s remaining patches of nature, often right in your backyard, are animals with fantastic stories to tell. The nine species of Iowa’s bats include a tiny spider eater, a large, high-flyer and a gentle endangered bat. Get to know Iowa’s bats, the good and bad about their conservation, and hear about research being conducted by Dr. Benedict and his students. Dr. Benedict has studied bats for more than 30 years, and has been a professor at Central College for 17 years.
