Reinventing Urban Living in a Compact Home | Thibault House

Discover Thibault House — a unique architectural transformation in Montreal’s Plateau Mont-Royal that redefines urban living. This thoughtfully expanded home features two minimalist glass-and-wood volumes: a rooftop bedroom suite for adults and a garden-level playroom for kids. Designed to maximize natural light, indoor-outdoor connection, and family interaction, this home blends modern architecture with green design.

With a green roof, semi-transparent trellis bridge, sliding wooden panels, and a sculptural steel staircase, Thibault House brings together sustainability, smart space planning, and poetic simplicity. The open-plan kitchen offers a 270-degree view of the living spaces, courtyard, and children’s pavilion — creating an immersive family living experience.

Watch the full video to see how light filters through every corner of this calm and luminous home. A perfect example of contemporary residential architecture that values space, light, and slowness.
