In 1 Year, Family Turn Degraded Land into Self Sufficient Off Grid Homestead

We are visiting a simple living homestead to learn how the Maya people have been living self sufficiently, sustainably and off the grid for thousands of years. The Maya people have been thriving in the jungle environment by working in harmony with nature, they have been creating abundant food forests, using agroforestry, syntropic and permaculture techniques long before these terms were coined in the western world.

In this video we will meet a Maya woman called Adalia who will show us her simple living way of life, its also a sustainable way of life, zerowaste and self sufficient. The family work together to provide enough food for themselves and more to sell at the market. They built their home with only natural materials found locally from their forest, cook with a natural fire, wash their clothes and bathe in the stream. This is the most simple and natural way of life you could imagine!
