The Shore Dives of Guam - Guam 18

In this video I take you all across the West side of Guam to do multiple shore dives. This video features some small caves, swim throughs, WWII Amtrak wreck, plenty of octopus, sting ray, and schools of fish through different terrains of coral gardens.

Some of this footage was taken before my hospital visit. A couple months ago I had a small fall with extreme injuries. I had a ruptured lung and fractured ribs. After 4 days in the hospital with a chest tube, where I just finished working at, I was released home to increase activity as tolerated. It was a slow, but steady recovery. I needed to do some things to heal my lung, like cardio, keep my lung inflated, use that incentive spirometer, but the fractured ribs made this difficult due to pain with taking deep or frequent breaths. Determined, I moved on as tolerated and listened to my body. I took no pain medication, not even over the counter, I just listened to my body. I advanced to the gym for cardio, seriously only 20 minutes walking and I was winded and in total rib pain. And then finally to lifting as long as I was not in a position adding weight to my ribs. Cruising along I started snorkeling, holding my breath underwater and going to 15 feet. All of this approved by the doctor of course. Guam has Navy base of approximately 50,000 people and my doctor's healthcare plan for me was based off of Navy recommendations. I returned to scuba diving based on the science that at sea level all human bodies are subjected to 1 atmosphere of pressure which is equivalent to 14.7lbs. The amount of pressure does not change until I go over 33 feet underwater. The footage of me is diving 15-30 feet underwater.
