To love God and to love others; is the basic commandment by Christ. Fundamental to Christianity. It is also the basic building block, of the Church, our parishes and indeed Western Civilization as we know it, as it reveals the truth that we are immeasurably loved by God and have eternal worth and value. And if this concept is submerged under the current culture of narcissism and comfort we end up in very dangerous dangerous water. -Fr. Bill
