Tulsa King 3x03: Why Did Cleo Attempts to Murder Jeremiah?
In Tulsa King Season 3 Episode 3, Jeremiah allows Cleo and Mitch to leave his property unscathed after Mitch prevents Cleo from setting his house on fire.

Mitch meets Cleo because he loves and cares for her, but more significantly, he is afraid that Jeremiah will take advantage of any solo movements by anyone connected to Dwight. Since living in one's hometown can be quite depressing, Mitch keeps things interesting by taking her out on a date in the car they used to share, where they had special memories. Mitch agrees when Cleo asks if she can drive, but he later regrets it because Cleo doesn't drive safely. As she admires Tulsa's landscape, Cleo questions whether working with Dwight is a wise move. Despite Dwight's criminal record, Mitch reassures her that he is reliable and will never betray Cleo. Furthermore, Mitch emphasizes that he will support Cleo no matter what happens in the future.
That allays some of Cleo's concerns. She makes the decision to make this quick drive into a road trip. As a result, Mitch suggests that they make a stop to grab some snacks. Apparently, Cleo is a shoplifter and makes Mitch her accomplice, so this turns out to be a pretty bad idea. As it turns out, shoplifting is nothing compared to what Cleo does next: she drives the car into the Dunmire estate and, using one of the stolen liquor bottles, sets Jeremiah's house on fire, just like he did to hers. Surprisingly, Jeremiah allows Cleo and Mitch to leave his property unscathed after Mitch prevents Cleo from setting his house on fire. Why? He has all the authorities in his pocket. What if Jeremiah had murdered Cleo and Mitch and hidden them in his backyard? Does he truly fear Dwight? Did his most recent discussion with Dwight persuade him that provoking Dwight's anger would be extremely harmful to his company?
So, instead of resorting to extreme measures like killing Mitch and Cleo, a more subtle approach is anticipated. Mitch reprimands Cleo for her reckless actions, which could have led to his imprisonment, highlighting her indifference towards the consequences for him. He warns her to avoid such dangerous antics in the future. While Mitch understands the gradual nature of Dwight's retaliation on Cleo's behalf, he assures her that the results will be satisfactory. However, if Cleo continues to distrust Dwight and undermines his plans for Jeremiah, the operation will be abandoned. The situation hinges on Cleo's ability to adhere to her promise of making fewer mistakes. Tyson plans a mission to "know the enemy" to impress their boss upon return, despite Dwight's orders to focus on bottling bourbon. Goodie warns against annoying the Dunmires, but Tyson, joined by Grace and Bodhi, begins a fact-finding mission. They choose to follow Cole Dunmire, spotting him first at the gym, and later at a warehouse hosting an elderly bingo tournament.
In this episode of Tulsa King, Goodie visits a trio involved in a bingo tournament scam because Grace seeks extra protection. He points out that the Dunmires are desperate and hacking Cole's system, leading to tension as Cole initially refuses to pay Dwight's crew. Ultimately, Cole pays to avoid losing participants. Later, at a strip club, Tyson is kidnapped by Cole and pressured for information about a bourbon storage unit. In a tense moment, Tyson chooses to save a stripper, Serenity, over his own safety. Despite the chaos, Dwight remains unaware of the situation until notified by Goodie, leading to concerns about potential job losses in his crew, notably for Tyson. The episode highlights the consequences of internal sabotage within Dwight's team, hinting at needed changes for their survival in the business.
