Rihanna claps back at her Instagram body-shamers in the best way possible.
When will people learn to stop calling Rihanna anything other than bad gal?
Rihanna is many things, but one thing that you wouldn’t call Rihanna is fat right? Well an Instagram user, @Robynsbish runs a fanpage dedicated to all things Rihanna aka Robyn Fenty. The fanpage recently posted an old video of Rihanna shopping for snacks with her BFF Melissa Forde and in the video we see her living her best life getting some Hot Cheetos, Apple Jacks, Pringles, you get the point. She got her snacks.
The caption is what got Rihanna’s attention though. The video was captioned with “Everybody who calling rob too fat @mdollas11 telling you what to do in this video K !! #mindyourown #eatallyouwant @badgalriri i got you like melissa 🙋🏻👑”
Well after some users left some rude comments about Rihanna’s weight, she slid into the comments section and commented, “Somebody called me too fat?” along with three crying lauging emojis. She clearly isn’t worried about what the haters say, but we do love when she responds. This isn’t the first time though. Remember when a reporter at Barstool Sports published an article titled, "Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?” She clapped back with a simple Gucci Mane meme that had everyone in tears laughing. Ok…maybe not everyone but I was.
Another website came under fire recently for a shady headline and Twitter was not having it. SandraRose.com posted an article with the headline, “Plus-Size Singer Rihanna Stuns At ‘Valerian’ Premiere”. Immediately, fans started reposting and commenting on the article to shame the author for referring to Rihanna as plus-size. One of my favorite tweets was from @girlswithtoys that said, “Rihanna isn't plus size and its dangerous to claim that. It can cause severe body image issues and eating disorders in others.” Keep in mind, people weren’t shaming being plus-size, but more so referring to labeling Rihanna as plus-size which opens up another conversation that will have to be saved for another video.
One thing I do know is we all need a BFF like Melissa Forde with us at all times.
