Forgotten Warlords of the North: The Cimbrian war on Rome

For this episode I visit Borremose fort in Himmerland, Denmark. An area often connected to the tribe of the Cimbri that waged a massive campaign of warfare on Rome from 113 BC to 101 BC.

I go into detail on the homelands of the Cimbri and their allies, the extensive campaign of warfare they put on the Romans as well as their most significant victory on the battlefield, as well as their final defeat. I also look closer at some of the controversies surrounding the topic, as well as delving into the local knowledge about the Cimbri.
