5 EASY GIMBAL MOVES - PART 2

You must master these moves 👇

It’s crucial to learn how to use your gimbal and how to achieve basic camera moves, as these are used in most of the films we see. Here’s the breakdown:

- Tracking Shot: The camera follows the subject’s movement, keeping them centered in the frame. This creates a sense of immersion, making the audience feel like they’re moving with the subject.
- Reverse Tracking: The camera moves backward while keeping the subject in frame, often revealing more of the scene behind the subject. It’s great for building suspense or showing context.
- Pedestal Shot: The camera moves vertically, either up or down, often revealing the subject or setting dramatically. It’s perfect for adding depth and grandeur to a shot.
- The Wipe Transition: The camera quickly pans across a subject or scene, creating a motion blur effect. This is often used as a natural transition between shots when the pan direction aligns.
- The Soft Focus Reveal: The camera slowly moves toward the subject, unveiling details or emphasizing emotion. It’s an effective way to draw the audience’s attention to something important.
